Spring Ahead, Fall Behind - It's almost that time of year . . . Daylight Savings Time, March 8.

 On Sunday, March 8 don't forget to turn your clocks ahead one hour. Warm weather will be here soon!


Attention Gardeners!  With spring just around the corner, the Sun City Community Garden is now reserving 10' x 30' lots for $30/season.  The gardens are located on Brier Hill Road, just north of Clanyard Rd.  Complete your reservation form or stop by the Member Service Desk to pick up a form.  For more information, contact Mary Wood.

 

The Village of Huntley recently launched a Hotel Survey for residents in an effort to bring a hotel to Huntley.   As part of this process, the village needs to understand the hotel activity of its residents and encourages all residents to participate in this important study being conducted by Applied Research Consultants (ARC) of Southern Illinois University on behalf of the Village of Huntley. MCRide Dial-A-Ride Expanding to Huntley - McHenry County has partnered with Pace Suburban Bus and several communities to offer expanded dial-a-ride services in McHenry County starting on March 2.  Full Brochure


The Huntley Firefighter's Local 4106 will host their 2nd Annual St. Baldricks Fundraiser on Sunday, March 15 at Rookies in Huntley.  Last year they raised over $21,000. Details.

 

2015 Sun City Community Association Census - The Governance and Standards office will be providing information to you in the next few months regarding a census form for the Community.  The HOPA was signed into law in 1995. The statutory definition of housing for older person as housing intended and operated for occupancy by at least one person 55 years of age or older per unit. It requires that facilities or communities claiming this exemption establish age verification procedures. Watch for additional information in the next few months.  

On Friday,  March 13 Drendel Ballroom will open its doors to George Casey, who has opened for for celebrities such as Three Dog Nightm, Rosemary Clooney and Bobby Vinton to name a few. Get your tickets and find out why this show's title is "Laugh Until It Hurts" by George Casey.  (more)

Bicycle Club- On March 17th (7:00 pm) the Bicycle Club invites all residents and bicycle enthusiasts to enjoy guest speaker on the subject "Getting Started ... Again"  Representatives from a local bike shop will be available to those who may be interested in getting started or upgrading their bike.
